In August 2018, the National Hardware Standardization Technical Committee hosted a training course on standardization work in the hardware industry at the Yulong International Hotel in Beijing. The training course aims to promote the implementation of the new standardization law, improve the policy level and standard revision level of standardization practitioners in the hardware industry. Zhang Dongli, Executive Chairman of the China Hardware Products Association, Lv Jiying, Vice Chairman, Liu Runfeng, Vice Chairman, Wang Li, Deputy Director of the Industrial Standards Department II of the National Standards Commission, and Director Yi Xiangrong attended the training session. More than 70 members of the National Hardware Standardization Technical Committee and various sub technical committees, as well as standardization workers from industry enterprises, participated in this training session. The meeting is chaired by Liu Runfeng, the full-time vice chairman.

In his speech, Zhang Dongli affirmed the achievements of the hardware products industry in standardization work in recent years, and combined with the report of the 19th National Congress, explained that China's economy has shifted from a high-speed growth stage to a high-quality development stage, and is in a period of transformation of development mode, optimization of economic structure, and transformation of growth momentum. Standardization work will play a supporting and leading role in the industry. However, there are currently problems in the coordination between standards and enterprises, and there are differences in the level of standard workers. Therefore, this training session is necessary and timely. Require the attending committee members and representatives to study diligently, improve their professional skills, and prepare themselves theoretically for future standard work.

At the training meeting, Wang Li, Deputy Director of the Industrial Standards Department II of the National Standards Commission, and Dr. Jin Yanfang, an expert from the Evaluation Center of the National Standards Commission, gave lectures. Wang Li explained the overall situation of standardization work, key tasks of standardization work, and standardization work management system from three aspects. She gave a detailed briefing on the key points and six measures of standardization work reform (such as establishing an efficient and authoritative standardization coordination mechanism), and explained the new Standardization Law and the Management Measures of the National Professional Standardization Technical Committee.

Dr. Jin Yanfang, an expert from the Evaluation Center of the National Standards Commission, gave a lecture on the preparation and revision of standards. She emphasized that a good standard requires three conditions: reasonable methods for establishing standard technical content, legal procedures for standard formulation, and standardized text preparation. Emphasized the principles that standards should follow: fairness and justice, openness and transparency, and consensus through consultation. Explained the three principles for determining normative technical elements: purposiveness, verifiability, and performance. During the teaching period, I interacted with the students and achieved a very good teaching effect.

After the lecture, an exam was conducted on the attending students, who showed a serious attitude and answered carefully. Liu Runfeng, the full-time vice chairman, summarized the training meeting and emphasized its important guiding significance for future standardization work. He expressed gratitude for the support of the National Standards Committee, various technical committees, and enterprises, and hoped that the standardization work in the hardware products industry would continue to improve.

This training session ended with unanimous praise from everyone. It is a meeting of great significance for the standardization work of the hardware industry, which has played a positive role in improving the standardization work level of committee members and representatives, understanding and timely mastering national standardization policies, and laying a good foundation for improving the standardization level of China's hardware products industry.
